Our vision for Youth Ministry brings young people and adults together as a community of God's people where...
- Jesus Christ is the central focus. (Col 3:16-17) - Youth develop significant relationships with their peers and caring adults. (Ecc 4:9-12) - Young people grow in faith, their personal relationship with Christ and who they are as God's people. (Eph 3:16-19) - Youth can ask hard questions and find answers about faith and life. (2 Tim 3:14-17, Mat 7:7) - Young people know that they are accepted. (Romans 15:5-7) - Youth can use their gifts to the glory of God. (1 Peter 4:10, Romans 12:4-8)
These happen naturally in an environment of fun, openness, freedom, and acceptance, using Christ as our model.
Our youth are involved in the following:
- Icthus (High school bible study and time to just hang out) - Girl Time (prayer and fellowship in a home) - Guy Time (prayer and fellowship in a home) - Feed the homeless at Central Presbyterian every 5th Sunday. - Fun trips at interesting retreats, such as Gatlinburg, Tenn, Jekyl Island, Ga, Asbury NJ, - Mission trips that combine improving the world, having fun, and seeing Christ at work through you. Our youth has experienced this in such places as Jamaica and West Virginia.
Come! Let's grow our faith and love for Christ together.
